Our Story

Backpacking Diaries was established in 2016 with a vision of promoting Sustainable & Responsible tourism practices. Though we started our journey as a Trekking Operator, we now cater to a wide variety of travel styles.

From Treks, Day Hikes, and Expeditions to Overlanding, Jeep Safaris, School & College Groups, Combo Trips, and many more exciting and experiential travel itineraries and stays.

We strive to be one of the best service providers in our segment and constantly reinvent destinations by taking our guests to hidden locations or places where very few people travel. We operate across the North Western Himalayas in the UTs & States of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh & Uttarakhand.

The Founding Members of Backpacking Diaries, Mr. Bodh Raj (a native of Manali) and Mr. Munish Dube (from Shimla) have been delivering seamless services to our guests for the past decade.

Together they both have around 36 Years of Experience in the Adventure and Travel Industry, always raising the benchmark when it comes to ensuring the safety and comfort of our guests.
